Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (ZEEL), India’s leading television, media and entertainment industry has hosted the Zee Cine Awards 2012 at Macau, Asia’s chief destination on 21 January. The awards appealed over 600 million viewers worldwide. In our country it will be telecast on Sunday, 5 February on Zee TV. There were 14 lucky winners of ZEE’s nominations’ contest who were flown in from India, the Americas, the United Kingdom, Asia Pacific (APAC), Middle East, North Africa, Pakistan (MENAP) and South Africa to come across such a function live. The event was hosted by Shahrukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra, and the audience of Venetian Macau truely enjoyed themselves by the sizzling performance of the other Bollywood stars.
Best Actor (Popular) award was received by Ranbir Kapoor for his Rockstar and Best Actress (Popular) award went to Vidya Balan for her The Dirty Picture performance.
Rockstar received the Best Film (Popular) award and The Dirty Picture Best Film (Jury). AR Rahman won the Best Music Award for Rockstar. Jeetendra was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Even the new members from the Zee serials were present- Krishna from Afsar Bitiya, Indira from Hitler Didi and Purvi from Pavitra Rishta to grace the occasion.
Among the popular celebrities who walked the Red Carpet were- Shahrukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Ranbir Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Vidya Balan, Rishi and Neetu Kapoor, Rana Daggubati, Farhan Akhtar, Ritesh and Genelia D’souza etc.
Ranbir Kapoor danced for the first time, by paying homage to his late grand-uncle Shammi Kapoor with a medley of his most popular dance hits. Shahid Kapoor too put fire on stage, raising a toast to ever-spirited late Dev Anand. Vidya Balan too tribute to the Southern top heroines. The Macao also displayed a lion dance, laser drumming, singing gondoliers, and acrobatic Shaolin monks.

Corruption is the main behind those unfair awards. SRK always give bribe to either Zee TV or Jury Members so that he can win each awards. Rockstar is not a good movie at all but Ranvir Kapoor receives award this is a funny function man. We should boycott this award and i am 90% dis agree with the awards winner. Singham, Body Guard should get the best Movie award and best actor should go to Ajay Devgn or Salman Khan. Zee Cine award is paid award so who gives money they will back award.
